We hope that you have taken the time
to look at the site contents and are left with a feeling of curiosity
and excitement. We would love the opportunity to work with you
to design your ideal tour, whether in British
Columbia, Manitoba, Nunavut,
or all three. Although we at Bear Trails place wildlife conservation
high on our list, we are equally lovers of people and history.
We appreciate that you might also want to get a taste of Canada's
fascinating
aboriginal cultures and cosmopolitan society, or
enjoy the wonderful tourist amenities its major cities have to
offer. You may also want to combine wildlife watching with other
outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, camping, scuba diving,
fishing, and skiing for which Canada is renowned. We can combine
these varied aspects for individuals and parties with mixed interests,
or organise a specific trip for a specific goal.
Bear Trails are members of the Travel Trust Association and abide by the requirements of their code of conduct. The TTA is a trade association of travel agents and tour operators which provides financial protection for your booking. Your funds are held in a designated trust account, which is supervised by an independent trustee, the money can only be released on the completion of your trip. For further details about the TTA, please contact them on 020 8876 4458. Bear Trails IS also ATOL bonded (T7148)
Since we tailor make your tour we have
no minimum group size, and can offer complete flexibility in tour
duration, content, and departure dates, though the scheduling
of some internal flights and certain activities can impose restrictions.
We endeavour to ensure that your wildlife experiences are intimate
and personal, seeking good guide to client ratios, and avoiding
crowded boats, vehicles, and destinations wherever possible. Since
our expertise lies in designing the itineraries we do not include
international and some mainstream domestic flights, again leaving
you with the flexibility of choosing your own carrier and making
use of your membership of loyalty or discount schemes, though
we are happy to provide guidance and assistance in this department.
Our services usually begin as soon as you touch down from your
international flight and end once you board your return international
flight. However we can arrange your itinerary to begin and end
in any location to fit in with your own plans, whether you're
in the city on business or attending a family wedding.
Depending on the time you have available you may choose to visit more than one province, particularly if you are keen to see all 3 native bear species. We do however we recommend a stay of at least three to four full days in most wildlife destinations to maximise your wildlife encounters. We believe that an itinerary with more emphasis on wildlife activities and less on travelling between destinations will greatly enhance your experience.
You have the opportunity to stay in some thoroughly unique locations. When selecting the accomodation we offer, we look for character properties in picturesque, natural settings wherever possible, and place an emphasis on a high level of personal service and environmental responsibility. In choosing these hotels and lodges we hope the very act of staying there will enhance your overall experience.
Whatever type of person you are we can help you pick an itinerary which will give you the best of everything. We will work with you to ensure that accommodation, transport, and wildlife activities are selected to match your hopes, needs and budget.
To begin your Bear Trails travel experience you can get in touch by phone, fax or email, and together we will start planning an individual itinerary designed specifically for you. We are here to offer advice and guidance regarding all aspects of your trip, and can arrange so much more than can ever be detailed on our website.
